Euro Truck Simulator 2 Crashing for no clear reason. Hi everyone. Not 100% sure If this is the correct place to put it, but I'm having a few problems with ETS2 crashes for no reason. I thought I'd ask here first, then if I cannot get a fix or a reason for the crash then I'd ask SCS directly or try a different forum.
very odd, try taking a look in Users\your username\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2 and open game.log.txt if there is anything in it post it to paste bin then pop the link here. The last mention of ets 2 causing a steam crash was way back in 2013 and not since so there is something very strange at play here. #3.
Hello @AshoMen, i am not sure if this is the same issue, but for me my ETS 2 was constantly crashing after clicking the 'Exit'-button to close the game. What solved the issue for me was to navigate to 'D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x64' (or wherever your ETS 2 is installed) and delete the file 'd3d9.dll' in that folder.
Once I turn the Promods off, the game stops crashing, so that's definitely the problem. The website for the promods attempts to be very helpful. It gave a list of possibilities for why the game was crashing. However, I checked all of them (as the website advised) and I couldn't find any problem with how I installed it.
Fix is put them back and sell trailers, then remove mod. Sometimes you need to downgrade game and get all used mods back first. If you don't had owned trailers mods, but trailer mods that are in drivers use too, you need to sleep 1-3 times and warnings disappear. Also shutdown backround programs to free more memory for games.
i'm having problems entering poland from the east, i have tried 2 different routes and the game just stutters then crashes multiple times, i don't have many mods installed. Just the same F,,,,,ing problems with POLAND Do this:
So my game crashes when it is opened using OpenGL, when I get to my driver pause menu and click the drive button it crashes the game. Bit of background info, I have played this game for about a year and used to play in DirectX mode but it kept lagging and stuttering so I gave up with it and tried OpenGL and the game worked great.
You can find the file in your documents in the ETS2 folder. Verify your game files. You can do this by doing a right-click on the game in your Steam Library and going to "Properties". There you go to "Local files" and there should be the option to verify your files. This will fix any missing or corrupt game files.
